Joint Statement

TJ Wright made this Freedom of Information request to Scottish Police Authority

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Scottish Police Authority did not have the information requested.

Dear Scottish Police Authority,

On the 28th November 2017, DCC Iain Livingstone of Police Scotland provided a Quote to the media that Police Scotland was not in crisis. That same joint statement also came from Scottish Justice Secretary, Michael Matheson, and HMICS Derek Penman on the 29th November 2017, and followed by SPA Chair, Susan Deacon on 3rd December 2017.

Since these organisations are supposed to be independent of one another, and of government, I would ask why there was such a joint statement and would ask that you confirm the originating source of the statement please.

Yours sincerely,

Tracy Wright

Thank you for your response. It just must have been something odd and strangely coincidential to events then.

Yours sincerely,

Tracy Wright
