Job search activities during Covid-19 outbreak

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

I have been advised by another jobseeker that due to the Covid-19 outbreak and lock-down, as of the 30 March 2020 and for a period of three months, claimants of old style legacy JSA do not have to continue carrying out any of the job search activities agreed with their work coach and laid out in the claimant’s Claimant Commitment.

Please provide me with any recorded information held by the DWP that supports this assertion.

Please provide me with any recorded information held by the DWP detailing what action work coaches will take against claimants who have not engaged in any of the work search activities agreed with their work coach and laid out in their Claimant Commitment.

Yours faithfully,

Curtis Allan
