Dear FOI,

How can the Insolvency Service conceal what licence a insolvency practitioner holds and the date it was no longer held, how are the general public supposed to know or have trust in your service if it conceals information?

Yours sincerely,

Ed Boyce

FOI, Insolvency Service

Mr Boyce,

The register provides details of insolvency practitioners who have agreed to be on the register to help people find an insolvency practitioner.

If you have questions about an insolvency practitioner's qualifications or licence, or if you wish to make a complaint about an insolvency practitioner, you should direct your enquiry to that practitioner's professional body.

Regards,

Dear FOI,

If Mr Shaw only had a partial licence for insolvency appointments in relation to companies or individuals only, why would The Insolvency Service be unaware of this fact.

If Mr Shaw only held a partial licence for insolvency appointments in relation to companies how would it be possible to be appointed a trustee or joint trustee for individuals .

Or does The Insolvency Service have no interest in whether a IP is a licence holder with the correct ICAEW insolvency licence .

What information and policy do the The Insolvency Service hold relating to your IP’s and their qualifications and details that you register.

And what actions does your service take if an IP has acted under an incorrect insolvency licence, a partial licence that only applies to company appointments not a licence for appointments for individuals.

Yours sincerely,

Ed Boyce

Dear Insolvency Service,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Insolvency Service's handling of my FOI request 'James Paul Shaw IP - ICAEW conditional licence'.

The Insolvency Service an agency of the BEIS has not provided the information and concealment is not providing a transparent public service when IP’s are being put forward for Secretary of State appointments to hold a position as a trustee by OR’s who must know whether or not they hold a full insolvency licence. Where is the accountability if there is no transparency ?

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/j...

Yours faithfully,

Ed Boyce
