NEWHAM STOPPING UP OF HIGHWAYS (JACK CORNWELL STREET, MANOR PARK, 
LONDON, E12 SNN) ORDER 2022 
The Council of the London Borough of Newham makes this Order in exercise of its powers under 
section 24 7 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, and of all other enabling powers:-
1.
This  Order authorises the stopping up of lengths of highway,  as shown hatched black on the
Deposit  Drawing  and  described  in  the  First  Schedule  of this  Order,  in  order  to  enable  the
Development to be carried out in accordance with planning permission 19/00622/FUL granted
on l51 March, 2019 under Part III of the Act by London Borough of Newham.

Where immediately before the date of this order there is any apparatus of statutory undertakers
under, in, on, over, along or across any length of highway authorised to be stopped up pursuant
to this Order then, subject to section 261 ( 4) of the Act, those undertakers shall have the same
rights  as  respects  that  apparatus  after  the  highway  is  stopped  up  as  they  had  immediately
beforehand.

In this Order -
(i)
the "Council" means the London Borough of Newham;
(ii) the "Act" means the Town and Country Planning Act 1990;
(iii) "Deposit  Drawing"  means  the  drawing  marked  "Highways  within  the  London  Borough  of
Newham", placed at the Deposit Venue for the Deposit Period;
(iv) the "Deposit Venue" is Newham Town Hall, 328 Barking Road, East Ham, London, E6 2RP;
(v) the "Deposit Period" means the period from 6th October 2021 until yd  November 2021;
(vi) the "Development" means the redevelopment of the site to provide an A4 use at ground level
and  nine  self -contained  residential  units  comprising  of:  1  x  5  bedroom  house  and  1  x  1
bedroom, 4 x 2 bedroom and 3 x 3 bedroom flats including refuse storage, cycle storage and car
parking spaces;
(vii) Any distances quoted are approximate  and measured  along the centre line of the highway in
question.

This  Order shall  come  into  force  on  the  date  on  which  notice  that  it  has  been made  is first
published  in  accordance  with  section  252(10)  of the  Act,  and  may  be  cited  as  the  Newham
Stopping up of Highways (Jack Cornwell Street, Manor Park, London, E12 5NN) Order 2022.

The highway and land designated as highway to be stopped up is in the London Borough of Newham. 
It is hatched black on the Deposit Drawing and described as follows:-
A length of irregular  shaped highway east  of the junction of Lawrence Road/Jack Cornwell  Street 
having  an  approximate  length  of 49.71m  and  width  of  5.25m  - 24.96m  to  the  existing  footpath 
adjacent to 85 Jack Cornwell Street.
