Dear Ms Bendell

Thank you for submitting a request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000.  Please find the response below in red font. This
response covers the hospitals and services managed by the Royal Free
London NHS Foundation Trust, namely the Royal Free Hospital, Barnet
Hospital and Chase Farm Hospital and associated group services.

The response

1) How long (no. of hours) is your IT Training (on patient systems) for
doctors on induction?   3 hours

2) Is the training face to face, eLearning or a combination of both?
Face to face

3) Is the doctors IT Training (on patient systems) completed prior to
arrival or once the doctor arrives at the hospital? Once they have arrived
and following general trust induction.

4) How is this training funded? Are doctors paid for their time or given
time off in lieu?   Doctors generally attend IT training on their first
day of work following their junior doctors induction so paid as a normal
part of their working day.

5) Do doctors get any support from the IT Trainers following their initial
training? e.g. floorwalkers/coaching/

mentoring.  Not from IT trainers but we have 6 CMIOs (chief medical
information officers) and 3 EPMA (electronic prescribing and medicines
administration) pharmacists who can offer support as required.
