Thank you for your request for information from NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) 
regarding procurement and IT hardware. 
I am writing to advise you that we are able to provide the following information in response to 
your request.   
NHSBT is a Special Health Authority in the NHS with responsibility for optimising the supply 
of blood, organs, plasma and tissues and raising the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of 
blood and transplant services.  
I would like to request a complete list of suppliers/contractors and consultants that 
have been used over the past year when procuring I.t hardware and the total spend on 
i.t hardware during the past financial year.  
I would also like to request full details of the person(s) who conduct the i.t purchasing 
there. 

The spend for IT hardware in the last Financial Year was £3,103,369.
