a) the latest copy of your IT/ICT or related Strategy / Strategies, including any "e" or web strategies.
b) the names of any applications that you have purchased to manage
your HR, Purchase to Pay, Finance, CRM, time sheet (including
flexible working time), corporate website, intranet, records
management and IT Service Desk and/or Help Desk data.
b) the systems you use for office productivity (including word processing, spreadsheets and presentations) and any plans for changes
c) the date and the initial capital and other costs for the initial
implementation of these applications.
d) the names of the organisations that you have entered into a
contract with to: firstly, supply these systems and secondly,
perform annual support.
e) the values of any annual support costs that are payable in
relation to these systems, broken down by system and organisation
the fee is payable to.
f) the expiration date of the contracts for each of these
applications.
g) any shared services that your department purchases, stating what
services are provided and from what organisation

Dear Mr Olde

Thank you for your enquiry for information under the Freedom of
Information Act, received by Essex County Council on Friday 4^th March
2011. Please find below our response;

Our IT Strategy is currently being written and will be released to the ECC
website when completed and approved by our governance arrangements. We do
not have a web or "e" strategy.

b) The names of any applications that you have purchased to manage your

HR We do not have an HR management
application
Purchase to Pay IDeA Marketplace - this is our main P2P
solution, other applications have minor
P2P elements
Finance IFS
CRM We do not have a CRM application
Time sheet (including flexible Innate Timesheets and various in house
working time) Microsoft Excel creations
Corporate website Managed by Deloitte on behalf of ECC
using Microsoft Sharepoint as the content

Microsoft Office 2003 & 2007 application suites
(Word/Excel/Powerpoint/Publisher/Project/Visio) - we have no current plans
to change this

d) The date and the initial capital and other costs for the initial
implementation of these applications.

Unfortunately the records of these transactions are held in paper format
not easily identifiable by application but by invoice number. This means
that in order to respond to this question the cost to retrieve this
information would be likely to breach the limit of £450 beyond which
the Council is not required to respond to the request.  Many of these
applications were purchased and implemented during the BT Strategic
Partnership therefore the investment was capitalised over a 10 year
agrement with support paid via BT service charges and not direct to the
application owner.

e) The names of the organisations that you have entered into a contract
with to: firstly, supply these systems and secondly, perform annual
support.

f) The values of any annual support costs that are payable in relation
to these systems, broken down by system and organisation the fee is
payable to.

We do not have any shared services.
