Dear Simon

In response to your Freedom of Information request, which was given the
reference FOI-2014-246 by Armagh City and District Council, I provide the
following information.

As you have asked for the previous 3 years I have taken this as 3 years up
to the Period 5 of Year 1415. (Period 5 1415 being August 2014).

Amount spent on Infrastructure and Peripherals and Software systems.

We do not record information in the categories that you have requested in
terms of Infrastructure and Peripherals.  SANS and Switches and Servers
and Laptops and Desktops would all be recorded together as Capital
Expenditure.
Large purchases of Software would also been included in this, there have
not been many, most recently a new payroll system. I have exported the
Capital Expenditure from the finance system but have included notes to
give additional information as sometimes it is not clear from the
description what the expenditure relates to. This spreadsheet is titled
“IT Capital Expenditure.xlsx”.

Amount Spent on Software systems

Some software is include in the Capital purchase. Other software which is
not included in the Capital side but comes from the revenue budget is
included in the spreadsheet Software Purcase.xlsx

Expenditure on software can be costed to any department, not simply IT, so
this export of Software purchases is done on an organisation wide basis.

Amount on Support

We record expenditure on support of hardware and software separately

Expenditure on software support can be costed to any department, not
simply IT, so this export of Software support is done on an organisation
wide basis and included in a spreadsheet “Software Maintenance Whole
Organisation.xls”

Expenditure on Hardware support can be costed to any department, not
simply IT, so this export of Software support is done on an organisation
wide basis and included in a spreadsheet “Hardware Maintenance Whole
Organisation.xls”

Expenditure on Software Support coded directly to the lCT department is
included in a spreadsheet “Software Maintenance IT Department Only.xls”

Expenditure on Hardware Support coded directly to the lCT department is
included in a spreadsheet “Hardware Maintenance IT Department Only.xls”

Ammount spent on Networking

As you have asked in a previous section for costs relating to switches I
have interpreted this element of the request as meaning wide area
networking.

I have included this in a spread sheet “networking.xls”

Any Other Spend

I have included this in a spread sheet “Sundry Hardware Purchases.xls”

Number of IT users in the organisation.

354

Annual Budget

I have included the Revenue Budget in as a spreadsheet ‘ICT 1415
budget.xls

The Capital Budget is not included in this spreadsheet. As the
organisation will cease to exist there is no Capital budget except for a
£20,000 sundry budget to cover unforeseen circumstances.

Plans for the next two Years

There are no major projects planned involving IT Hardware / Software /
Services  for the next two years for this organisation as the organisation
will cease to exist at the end of March 2015.

I hope this information fulfils your requirement

With kind Regards
