Please supply the following information, as requested under the Freedom of Information Act:

1) Do you monitor emails sent and received by students and staff using the institution’s email system?
2) Do you monitor and record information contained in emails based on an agreement with the authorities according to the Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015?
3) What is the total cost to your organisation of monitoring emails as part of legal obligations set out by the Counter-Terrorism and Security Act 2015?
4) How many staff are involved in monitoring the emails of students and staff members using the institution's domain?

Dear Areeb,

Thank you for your recent request for information relating to Kingston University. Your request was received on 08/02/17 and is now being dealt with under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Please note that we are treating the attached request which was received at about the same time as a duplicate of this one, so we will just prepare the one response.
