Thank you for your Freedom of Information request dated 04 January 2017, which has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).

Your request and our responses are as follows:

1) Your total annual budget.

2) Your current number of full time employees.
RESPONSE: This figure can also be found in the Annual Reports at the address above.

3) Your annual IT budget.
RESPONSE: The Agreed Capital programme for 2016/17 is £3,781,800.

4) A copy of your current ICT strategy document.
RESPONSE: This is currently under review due to the Essex Success Regime (ESR).

5) What storage vendor(s) and model do you currently use?
RESPONSE: HP StoreVirtual

a. When was the installation date of above storage vendor(s)?
RESPONSE: Various, added as and when needed

b. When is your planned (or estimated) storage refresh date? (Month/year)
RESPONSE: Approximately 2021/2022. We have just gone through a refresh process and will another will not be due for 5 years.

c. What is your estimated budget for the refresh?
RESPONSE: 2017/18 FY: £450k

d. What date does your storage support contract end? (Month/year) e. What is the value of your storage support contract?
RESPONSE: Not applicable: HP Carepacks are taken out when storage is procured

f. What is the capacity of the storage data in TB?
RESPONSE: 330.

6) What backup software do you use?
RESPONSE: Commvault

a. How much data do you backup in TB?
RESPONSE: 148.

b. When is your planned (or estimated) backup software refresh date? (Month/year) c. What is the estimated budget for your backup software refresh?
RESPONSE: We have no plan to refresh at present.

d. When does your backup support contract end? (Month/year)
RESPONSE: December 2018
e. What is the value of your backup support contract?
RESPONSE: £25k.

7) What compute vendor(s) and model do you currently use?
RESPONSE: HP Desktop PCs. Current standard model is HP ProDesk 600 G2 SFF

a. Number of servers?
RESPONSE: 423 total inc 343 virtual.

b. Virtualisation platform?
RESPONSE: VMWare ESXi.

c. When is your planned (or estimated) compute refresh date? (Month/year)
RESPONSE: We have an ongoing PC replacement programme that is subject to Capital funding which is attributed in alignment with the Trust's financial year. April 2017.
