IT Director and Assistant Director Role
Dear Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust,
We understand that the Trust recruited a joint IT Director role between Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust and Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust this year as a cost saving exercise.
We understand that the Trust (Kent Community Health) has subsequently kept on the temporary Assistant Director of IT for 12 months more.
Where has the extra funding for this come from for this role?
What reasons did the Trust and IT director have for extending the temporary role?
What steps are being made to ensure that the Trust IT Management costs are not being unnecessarily stretched?
How will the Trusts deem that the 12 month Joint Director role is successful / unsuccessful?
Can the Trusts expand on how this joint role saves costs and improves quality of the service?
Are there any other Joint Director roles planned in the next 12 months or already exist and what are the objectives of these?
Please could you provide a copy of the IM&T Structure including Band for all roles in the directorate?
Yours faithfully,
Mark Mumford
