Dear Miss Rogosic,

I am writing regarding your request for information which we received on
the 21/01/2022.

In that request you asked for information regarding IT devices and
systems.

The Trust reasonably requires further information in order to identify and
locate the information that you have asked for. I will not be able to take
this matter further without extra information from you. In particular, it
would be useful if you could clarify the following questions:

How many desktop devices do you have in the Trust?

Please define Desktop devices, does this extend to Laptops and Thin
Clients?

Which commercial/external apps do you use?

Further information required, in what context? Health apps? Email?

Which roles are responsible for managing the workload at night?

What workload?

Which authentication protocol(s) do you use (ie. SAML, O Auth 2, OIDC)?

Please can you specify what type of authentication protocol you want
information for? Specific systems/applications?

Do you raise alerts/send emails triggered by data? If yes, please provide
any examples you can.

What data specifically?

It would also be very helpful if you could split your request into
categories, this would make easier for our team to answer and sort thought
each set of questions.

I would ask you to note that I have stopped the clock on this request (in
terms of the 20 day response timeframe). It will start again once we
receive your clarification. If you wish to discuss any of the above,
please contact me. Please quote the reference number above in any future
communications. Please note if we do not receive any further communication
within 3 months, we will assume you no longer require the information
requested and will close your request. Please note you can send a freedom
of information request at any point in the future.

If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your
request and wish to make a complaint or request a review of our decision,
you should write to me in the first instance at the above address.

If you are not content with the outcome your complaint, you may apply
directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the
Information Commissioner cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted
the complaints procedure provided by the Trust. The Information
Commissioner can be contacted at:

The Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane,
Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.

Yours Sincerely

Dear FOI,

To clarify,

Desktop devices includes laptops and thin clients.

External apps refers to communication apps such as WhatsApp, iMessage, Hospify etc

Workload at night refers looking after patients and completing any routine non-patient tasks during night shifts when there are depleted numbers of staff

The most used authentication protocols within the Trust

Data alerts would be for example if positive covid test results and sent to a business insight tool or other similar system that automatically triggers and email or other action to notify someone

Hope this helps.

Yours sincerely,

Karla Rogosic
