I am writing in response to your email received 5 January 2018 in which
you have made a request for information held by the Parliamentary and
Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) under the Freedom of Information Act 2000
(FOIA).

 

Your exact request was:

 

‘On how many occasions within the last 5 financial years (including
current one) have PHSO had issues raised to them about 2gether NHS
Foundation Trust?

 

How many of these issues have been investigated?

 

How many of the issues resulted in guidance / direction / action being
directed to 2gether Trust?

What positive confirmation has been obtained by PHSO that actions have

In line with the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I can confirm we partly
hold the information you have requested. I have responded to each part of
your request in turn below:

 

1.    PHSO received 108 complaints about 2gether NHS Foundation Trust
between April 2013 and 12 January 2018.

 

2.    PHSO investigated 23 complaints about 2gether NHS Foundation Trust.

 

3.    Two complaints resulted in recommendations being made to 2gether NHS
Foundation Trust.

 

4.    We do not hold suitably anonymised copies of the relevant case
summaries, our findings or issues raised. 

 

5.    2gether NHS Foundation Trust provided copies of correspondence which
confirmed recommendations made by the PHSO, such as an apology or
financial compensation had been made to the complainant. 2gether NHS
Foundation Trust also provided the PHSO with a copy of a revised
complaints policy.
