Re: North London Waste Plan
Thank you for your request for information regarding the North London Waste Plan. I apologise for not replying sooner but your enquiry dropped off our information request system. I’ve just uploaded it properly so you will have received an automated privacy notice confirming that your enquiry has been added to NLWA’s online Vuelio information request handling system.
Your request is being handled under the Environmental Information Regulations (EiR) 2004 , and has been allocated the reference number 2020 - 48. (Footnote 1)
In response to your request for all available information on the issues raised at the hearings of the North London Waste Plan (NLWP) we are not the organisation developing the NLWP. The NLWP is the waste planning strategy being developed by the seven north London boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington and Waltham Forest in their capacities as waste planning authorities. The North London Waste Authority (NLWA) is a consultee to the NLWP, but not responsible for it. You can find out more information about the NLWP on their website which also contains contact details for the team: https://www.nlwp.net/
In terms of any response NLWA has made to the issues raised at the NLWP hearings on 21 and 22 November 2019: We attended both hearing sessions for the NLWP on 20 and 21 November 2019. A copy of both our hearing statement and our statement of common ground with the NLWP is available on the NLWP website here: https://www.nlwp.net/examination/ see document ‘MM5 NLWA’ and ‘SoCG with NLWA’
Our responses to the latest stages of consultation are available here: http://nlwa.gov.uk/consultations/our-res...
Please note that this link will be different from Monday as we will have a new website, but you should be automatically be redirected to the correct page of the new website – still called www.nlwa.gov.uk
The hearing statement and statement of common ground with the NLWP will also be uploaded onto our new website on Monday.
I trust the above answers your enquiry but if you have any further information needs in the future then please do contact us – further information will be available about how to do this on our new website.
Yours sincerely
Barbara Herridge
External Relations Manager

Dear North London Waste Authority,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of North London Waste Authority's handling of my FOI request 'issues raised at the hearings of the NWLA Waste Plan Nov 2019 by representors and the Inspector'.
You say that you are just a consultee on the NWMA Waste Plan but you have not informed me of the name of the body who has ultimate responsibility for compiling and producing the Plan. Please can you do so as otherwise I can not access the information I need?
Yours
Caroline Scott

Dear requestor/Whatdotheyknow.com

above information request, but a response was emailed to the requestor on
4 June and I also uploaded the text of the request directly onto the
WhatDoTheyKnow.com portal on 5 June. I registered so that I could upload
our responses directly. I’d understood that a notification of the upload
should have been received by the requestor at that time.
The response is available here:

If there’s anything more that you need please do let me know, but we’ll
assume that an internal review is not now required as a response has been
issued.
Thank you and Kind regards
