Irish citizens living in the UK: after Brexit
Dear Northern Ireland Office,
Can you please provide me with any documents/emails/meeting minutes and other forms of information that the Home Office holds that mentions how the status of Irish citizens living & working in the UK may change after Brexit actually takes place.
Please note: this request specifically relates to the status of Irish citizens and I'd be very keen to see if the government has made plans to deal with issues in Northern Ireland if the status of people who solely identify themselves as Irish was to be questioned.
Yours faithfully,
John Kelly

Dear FOI,
As noted above in my original request, I am asking for documents that refer to the status/potential status of Irish citizens in the UK after Brexit actually happens. I mean any documents, as long as they had had a connection with NIO, whether this be to/from the Home Office/NIO or any other government department/agency that NIO has had dealings with in regard to this issue.
I hope this clarifies things.
Yours sincerely,
John Kelly

Dear FOI,
In response to your expected response, please accept the following as a refined request:
Please provide access to email based information (only) where the phrase 'status of Irish citizens' appears in emails sent by any NIO staff at Higher Executive Officer (HEO) (only) internally within the NIO since 23rd June 2016, as long as this does not exceed the limit set by the Freedom of Information Act. If this falls outside the cost limits, please limit this request to the period from 1st August 2016 to present.
I will need access to this information for an article that I am compiling.
Yours sincerely,
John Kelly
