Mr Munce
I write in connection with your request for information as shown below.
Under FOI please disclose all IP addresses used by your
constabulary to access the internet. In the case of dynamic IP
addresses please give details of the server and / or host including
it's location which assigns them.
Your request will now be considered in accordance with the Freedom of

within the statutory timescale of 20 working days as defined by the Act,
subject to the information not being exempt or containing a reference to a

to achieve this deadline. If this is likely you will be informed and given
a revised timescale at the earliest opportunity.
There may be a fee payable for the retrieval, collation and provision of

the 20 working day timescale will be suspended until we receive payment
from you. If you choose not to make payment then your request will remain
unanswered.
Some requests may also require either full or partial transference to
another public authority in order to answer your query in the fullest
possible way. Again, you will be informed if this is the case.

Dear Derbyshire Constabulary,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Derbyshire Constabulary's handling of my FOI request 'IP Addresses Used by the Police'.
You have rejected my request on understanding that I submit my 'real name' when it is already clear that to do so could compromise my safety due to running a website that is critical of the police.
As you have already familiarised yourself with the contents of CRIMEBODGE then you would be aware that I am often the subject of threats and abuse from serving police officers. Therefore your request that I disclose my name is declined.
The ICO states that:
"Where a public authority knows that a pseudonym has been used, as
a matter of good practice it should still consider the request, for
example where identity is not relevant and it is content to
disclose the
information requested, even though technically the request is
invalid."
http://www.ico.org.uk/global/page_not_fo...
Disclosure of my name is not relevant to this request. I believe that your demand that it be revealed is either to attempt to locate me, or quite simply sour grapes.
Your FOI officer has also taken it upon himself to contact all other constabularies in Britain to inform them that they should decline my FOI requests on the same grounds simply because he has taken offence to the contents of my site.
Yours faithfully,
Talbot Munce
