IP Address Retention

We're waiting for Liam Jason to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear University of Reading,

I would like to request information regarding retention of IT systems log data.

Specifically I would like to know the following:

1. For how long does the University maintain logs linking particular IP addresses to particular users of University networks?

2. Is this period the same throughout the University? (e.g. on main campus, in halls of residence, etc)

2. Does the University have an appropriate destruction schedule for this type of log information, and if so, what is it?

Yours faithfully,
Liam Jason
