Investigatory Powers Act

We're waiting for Christine Pease to read recent responses and update the status.

Christine Pease

Dear Royal Air Force,
I am a final year student with the OU looking at the Investigatory Powers Act 2016
What I would like to know is
- How many people work for your organisation.
- How many of these people will authorised by warrant to conduct interception, equipment interference (hacking to obtain information) or bulk communications data acquisition under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016
- How many warrants have been applied for under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016?
- How many warrants were granted?
- How many investigations has your organisation carried out so far under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 and what were they for?

Yours Faithfully
Christine Pease

Dear Air-DRes Sec-ParliBusiness (MULTIUSER),

Thank you for your reply.
"In order to ensure that you are given an answer helpful to your enquiry, please can
you clarify whether you require the number of personnel who are enlisted in the
Royal Air Force (RAF) or the number of uniformed RAF personnel whose
branch/trade group/specialisation is likely to have an involvement with the
Investigatory Powers Act 2016? "

Both will help please.

Yours sincerely,

Christine Pease
