Investigations, warnings and dog control notices actioned during 2017 for out of control dogs

I refer to your email dated 26 March 2018 requesting information under the
Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. In response to your
enquiry I enclose the following information for the period requested.
a. The number of investigations carried out into possible “out of

In relation to the breeds of dogs which have had warnings issued, I
confirm that the Council holds the information requested but are refusing
your request, as set out under Section 16 of the Freedom of Information
(Scotland) Act 2002. The reason for this refusal is, that as stated in
Section 12(1) of the Act, that the costs of providing the information
requested would incur fees that exceed the upper limit of £600. The
information requested would require a manual search of each case.
c) The number of dog control notices issued for “out of control” dogs and
please break this figure down by breed.
