Investigation into misuse of tax payer money
Dear HM Revenue and Customs,
I am writing to request information surrounding the VIP Lane Scandal in which tax payer funds were used to buy equipment not suitable for purpose. Alongside this - tax payer funds have been misused as contracts were awarded to newly traded company without proper dilligence being conducted.
My request is as follows:
1. Is there any pending investigation by HMRC into the misappropriation of tax payer funds by the UK Government, The Conservative Party and the following conservative party members being -
Michael Gove MP
Matt Hancock MP
Esther McVey MP
Steve Brine MP
As well as the companies involved including but not limited to:
PPE Medpro
Meller Designs
Brooks Newmark
Uniserve
SG Recruitment
Global United Trading
2. If not why?
3. How does HMRC intend to claw back tax payer funds that have been diverted to companies that had a conflict of interest with members of the conservative party.
4. Does HRMC investigate how tax money is being spent by authorities?
5. Does HMRC ever prosecute or fine authorities, government bodies or arms of government where funds are misappropriated?
Yours faithfully,
Daniel Foley

Dear Team, FOI,
Your request fails to acknowledge the questions asked.
In response to your answers:
"HMRC is the UK’s tax and customs authority. We col ect the money that pays for the UK’s
public services and help families and individuals with targeted financial support. "
This is not a satisfactory answer - you collect money from tax payers - that money is distributed to central government. You mentioned that HM TREASURY is the is the government’s economic and finance ministry, maintaining control over public spending -
PLEASE ANSWER CLEARLY-
HMRC collects funds from tax payers - please provide the data that shows where and how funds are distributed. Central government is funded by tax payer contributions - please can you provide a source where the accounts for HMRC can be subject to a review for disbursement.
Where does HM Treasury funding originate from?
If HMRC collect taxes and those taxes fund public services - how is that money distributed?
As a tax authority - can you provide a CLEAR and transparent set of accounts.
As a tax payer - I would like a clear break down of where the funds are distributed to from HMRC. This shouldn't be hard.
Yours sincerely,
Daniel Foley
