Thank you for your request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000, 25 July 2018. Your request has been considered and

You requested the following: 

 

1) How many employees are working in the council?

 

The council employs approx. 4,500, however this figure changes every
month.

 

2) What is your annual IT budget?

 

The information you have requested is exempt under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000, Section 21: Information accessible by other means. 
 

EXEMPTION

 

Section 21 Information accessible to applicant by other means

Information is to be taken to be reasonably accessible to the applicant if
it is information which the public authority or any other person is
obliged by or under any enactment to communicate (otherwise than by making
the information available for inspection) to members of the public on
request, whether free of charge or on payment. This is an absolute
exemption.

In this instance, the information is on the Council website and therefore
is exempt by virtue of Section 21 (2a) of the Freedom of Information Act.

We do not have a discrete intranet budget.

 

4) What is your current Intranet solution and how long has it been in use?

 

GOSS’ ICM platform

 

5) Do you use Open Source applications, such as Drupal or Wordpress?

 

Yes

 

6) Who is responsible for managing your Intranet?

 

The communications department, led by Polly Cziok, Director of
Communications

 

7) Who is responsible for the procurement of your Intranet?

 

Rob Miller, Director of ICT

 

8) Who is responsible for managing your IT Team?

9) Do you use any other SaaS (Software as a service) applications?

 

Yes

 

10) Who are your main software vendors?

 

Our software vendors include:

* Civica
* Capita Software Services
* Northgate
* EStreet/Farthest Gate
* Midland HR
* Advanced Computer Software

 

11) Do you use Azure / Amazon Web Services or Office36?

 

We currently use AWS. We do not use Office 365 or Azure.

 

12) Do you have a digital workplace strategy?

 

No we do not.
