Thank you for your email. As you will appreciate, information requests
place additional demands on the School in terms of costs and staff time.
At present we are having to prioritise our finite resources in order to
meet the unprecedented challenges we are facing during the Coronavirus
(COVID-19) pandemic.  As such, we need to advise you that while we will
continue to process individual requests, you may experience some delay in
our response during the current pandemic.

Dear Julie,

Futher to your recent FoI request, I would like you to clarify two points:

1) Does your enquiry relate to Home or Overseas students or both?

2) What does 'International A-Levels' mean? International students taking A-levels / Cambridge International A-Levels only / Pearson International A-Levels only / Or something else?

Could I also ask you to think about the underlying question that is prompting your data request. If you are attempting to find out what are your chances of getting a place, remember that this cannot be answered by reference to data. Applications are considered on their individual merits, based on a holistic view of your supporting documents in the context of the current cohort. Figures from previous years will not offer any insight on your application. Your best way to find the answer is to apply. However, please let me know if you wish us to proceed with obtaining the information requested.

Best Wishes,

Paul

Dear Julie

Further to your recent FoI request, the Schools response is provided in the attached spreadsheet. The data/report provided is quite broad and it includes:

- all A-Level results (predicted and actual) and subjects. This includes international A-Levels.
- all applicants, including Home and OS and the decision/response.

You can use the filters provided to analyse the dataset in any number of different ways.

If you think that the information provided does not meet your request, contact Rachael Maguire on 020 7849 4622 or write to Louise Nadal, School Secretary, London School of Economics and Political Science, Houghton Street, London, WC2A 2AE. We will then review the response to your request and get back to you within 20 working days. You can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office http://www.ico.gov.uk/, though they expect the internal review to be carried out before receiving a complaint directly.
