Dear Mr Mason

Further to your request for information under the FOI Act received on 18
February 2010, in which you requested details on the Trust's internal
Transport provisions for internal mail, pathology specimens, sterile
services department, electro-biomedical engineering, pharmacy, patient
records and stores. Please find below the Trust's response.

1. Who is your current provider? - Currently provided by the Ambulance
trust in Stafford and In-House covering Lichfield Tamworth

2. How much do you pay for the services per year? - Around £281k

3. When was the contract/service level agreement last market tested to
ensure best value? - Service is currently being reviewed with the
Procurement Group for tendering service to ensure economies of scale and
value for money.
