Dear Ms Brown,  

Thank you for your reply. Please see below for EWR Co’s Internal Review
procedure for Freedom of Information Requests.

Freedom of Information complaints 

Following a response to an FOI request applicants are entitled to raise a
complaint if they feel their request hasn’t been adequately addressed. 

If a complaint is received via a route other than the External Affairs
team it is the responsibility of the person receiving the complaint to
notify the External Affairs team via email within 24 hours of the
complaint being received. 

An initial assessment of the complaint will be undertaken by a Director to
determine the best course of action. 

If the original decision is to be upheld an independent review must be
undertaken within the 20 working day period expected by the Information
Commissioner for processing a complaint. 

Where an Independent Review is required the Head of External Affairs will
determine whether this should be undertaken by a member of the External
Affairs team or a Director independent of the original decision. 

Once the independent review has been completed an appropriate response
should be prepared by the External Affairs team.
