Hi xxxxxxxxx and thanks, it was certainly a lively committee meeting but it does at least give us a
clear steer on what we will need to do for future engagement and design issues.
In the interim it would be helpful to have a final CATN document that can go on our website or be
issued to anyone that would like to see it. I’ve discussed this with xxxxxx and, to be honest we think it
would just need to be a slimmed down version of the attached covering the content in pages 3 and 4
and including the adopted CATN plan and inset with links to the committee report/decision (see
below). The rest of the attached (process, draft CATN, post-consultation) isn’t needed.
So, essentially a brief intro/context and then into the adopted plans and relevant links. Would also be
worth mentioning the CATN would be supported by local area networks and that it wil be kept under
review (possibly updating final para of page 3). Any other detail would be covered by your existing
reports that could be linked. We’d also need to keep front and back covers.
Could you give me a fee for preparing a final CATN doc in line with the above please? There isn’t
much budget for this so minimal amount of work would be my suggestion.

From everything I've heard, a very big wel done is needed for you and the team at Wirral for your
hard work on this. It can't have been easy, especially given the number and nature of all those

Am sure you are aware by now from local media but the CATN was adopted by the Council last
week. I delayed telling you due to the five-day call-in period. That has now passed so we move on.
There was a lot of opposition at the committee meeting, mostly from the Wal asey area, based on the
assumption that the CATN mans ‘cycle lanes’ and parking being removed despite us advising the
CATN was too high level to be certain of details at this stage.
Anyway, thank you for your help with this. It was a difficult bit of work not least because of the above
point.
