Internal Budgets

The request was partially successful.

Dear Department of Health,

Please disclose all your department's internal budgets set for 2010-11, providing -
- the name of the budget centre (indicating whether it is an organisational unit or ad hoc project) and
- the budget limit, detailing administration costs and non-administration costs; with expenditure analysis for salaries, other current administration expenditure, capital additions, and income analysed by administration, other current and capital.

Yours faithfully,

Titania White

Dear Department of Health,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Department of Health's handling of my FOI request 'Internal Budgets'.

I am grateful for the information that you did provide, but puzzled at your reasons for not providing all the information.

It seems likely that I am only asking for information that would be required for normal financial governance. Budget allocations must be recorded and I would have thought central finance would have to be able to aggregate those budgets to reconcile to your available corporate budget. Your reply makes it sound as though the information is not readily accessible via reports and has to be manually collected piece by piece.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:

Yours faithfully,
