Insulation Programme

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Hull City Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Hull City Council,

Can you please provide me with the following information.

Have you treated any of your housing stock with external wall insulation?

Which streets or estates have you completed the insulation
programme on and what has been the cost to date?

Have you got any future over-render/insulating projects planned and what budget have you allocated for this?

Yours faithfully,

Andy May

MacDonald Calum, Hull City Council

External cladding is currently being delivered to council properties of
non traditional construction which protects the structure and improves
thermal efficiency of these properties.

Work continues to be prioritised to properties that require essential
structural repairs and to support regeneration activities within the
City’s focus areas.

The programme for Council properties commenced in the financial year
2012/2013. To date 107 properties have been completed at a cost of just
over £2m. The costs cover structural repairs and thermal over cladding.
The total costs also include for general repairs and re roofing of some
properties where required.

The completed properties were;

Based on our current HRA business plan (reviewed annually) provision has
been made within the Housing Revenue Account (HRA) budget to clad a
further 3,000 non-traditional properties across the city over the next 5
years.  Costs vary between different property types. Costs included in the
