Our response

I confirm that Ordnance Survey does hold some of the information you have
requested.  Where the information is not held or exempt from disclosure
this is stated.

Taking each request in turn, I confirm the following:

 1. Can you please provide the part of the specification that prevents the
OS doing what they say they will show

OS considers this to be a repeat request in accordance with s14(2) of the
FOIA, as you have previously asked a substantially similar question in
your FOI request of 22 March 2024 under FOI-24-1229 in which OS responded
with an extract of the current version of the local working instructions
for depicting yellow roads, uncoloured roads and ORPA’s in 1:25 000 and
1:50 0000 mapping.

In addition, you made this subsequent request before we had an opportunity
to reply to your previous request of 22 March 2024 under FOI-24-1229
within the timescales allowed under the FOIA 2000.

In light of the above, a reasonable interval has not elapsed between this
request and the previous request, and we are entitled to refuse this
request under s14(2) of the FOIA.

There is no public interest test to apply.

 2. please provide details of the instructions to the Errors & Omissions
Team to carry out their error investigation obligations, as this was
done in just 1 minute.

I confirm we do not hold the requested information.

However, under the duty to provide information and assistance in
accordance with section 16 of FOIA, we can provide the following
information which may assist you in this matter:

Errors and Omissions are investigated by trained OS staff using a
combination of their acquired knowledge and training and the internal
local working instructions (extracts previously provided).

We do not hold any specific instructions written down in relation to error
investigation obligations.  I can confirm however that OS have 5 days to
answer an Error and Omission.
