Institutional Relationships with Chinese and Hong Kong Entities

Jessica NM made this Freedom of Information request to University of Durham This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request is waiting for clarification. If you are Jessica NM, please sign in to send a follow up message.

Dear University of Durham,

Could you please provide the details of formal relationships your university has with Chinese and Hong Kong institutions. These include any relationships that were established with a formal agreement (such as Joint Venture Universities, Programs or Initiatives). Please provide the contracts if possible. If not possible, then please provide an overview of these agreements including departments and academics involved and the focus of their research.

This also includes relationships that do not generate profit via direct monetary exchanges between universities, and instead may focus on skill and research cooperation or exchange (e.g. memorandums of understanding).

Please specify the name of the institution with which you have a connection and details of the agreement. If relevant, please specify any profit generated for your organisation (larger than £,5000).

Yours faithfully,

Jessica Ní Mhainín

INFO-ACCESS, University of Durham

Dear Jessica Ní Mhainín

Colleagues have asked me to contact you to request clarification in
relation to your request below.  Specifically, they would be grateful if
you could to specify the names of the Institutions and also specify a date
range, as the request at the moment is too vague – we cannot search just
on “Chinese and Hong Kong Institutions”

Your request will be placed on hold until we receive the requested
clarification from you.  If however we do not receive clarification within
30 days of this email we will consider the request closed.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely
