Installation of ticket barriers at Cambridge Station

Alan Smith made this Freedom of Information request to Department for Transport

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

Department for Transport did not have the information requested.

Dear Sir or Madam,
Ticket barriers have recently been installed at Cambridge Train Station.

I would like any information you have regarding current passenger numbers at peak times, and any forward projections. Also, any information you have to do with the current installation, operating and staffing requirements of the ticket barriers.

Also of particular interest are concerns, recommendations and highlighted issues which have a safety concern.

The combined entrance/exit to Cambridge station is near the track and I frequently see passengers backed up against the platform edge. I wish to find out if this was predicted.

Yours faithfully,

Alan Smith

Dear Sir or Madam,
I note that there has been no response to this question.

Yours sincerely,

Alan Smith.
