Inspectors training manual
Good morning,
I would like to request a digital copy of the most up-to-date version of the Inspectors training manual please.
Kind regards
Vanessa Clarke
Your email has been received by the Planning Inspectorate's Freedom of
Information team. We will log and allocate any request and may be in touch
if we need further information, or if it is your business areas
responsibility to answer the request.
Dear Ms Clarke
Thank you for your request of 27 April 2020 for an up-to-date copy of the Inspector Training Manual.
I am sending this to you in a series of 3 emails due to the size of the document. This email is 1/3, and the next 2 will be labelled 2/3 and 3/3.
The Inspector Training Manual is subject to regular updates, and the Manual does not constitute Government policy or guidance and does not seek to interpret Government policy. In the event that there appears to be a discrepancy between the Manual and national policy / guidance, any national policy and guidance will be conclusive.
As this document is not written for an external audience, many of the hyperlinks point to our internal systems at the Inspectorate (including links from one chapter to another), and therefore will not be accessible to those outside.
The Inspector Training Manual has not yet been fully updated in response to the revised National Planning Policy Framework.
I trust that this is helpful. In the event that you are unhappy with the outcome of your request for information, or the way we handled your request, then you can ask for an internal review. Details of our review procedures and contact details for the Information Commissioner’s Office are set out in the attached leaflet.
Yours sincerely
