Inquiry Regarding Employee Feedback on Management Conduct in 'The Pulse'

Alistair Pedlow made this Freedom of Information request to London North Eastern Railway Limited Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

The request was successful.

Dear London North Eastern Railway Limited.

I am writing to seek information regarding the feedback provided by LNER staff concerning the conduct of the management or senior management in 'The Pulse' surveys or similar feedback mechanisms.

Specifically, I would like to know how staff members have scored or commented on the conduct of management, including senior management, in these surveys or feedback channels. This information is crucial for understanding the sentiments and perceptions of employees regarding the conduct of leadership within the organisation.

I kindly request that you provide the aggregated scores and any anonymised comments related to management conduct from these surveys within the last five-year cycle. I am requesting a breakdown of regions and depots within the LNER network.

Access to this information will help in comprehending the prevailing employee perspectives on management conduct, whether negative or positive, which is in the public interest.

Yours faithfully
Alistair Pedlow.

Dear Alistair,
Thank you for your Freedom of Information requests concerning various
surveys and feedback mechanisms within London North Eastern Railway
(LNER). Upon reviewing your requests, we have identified several
similarities:

• All three requests focus on surveys or feedback mechanisms within
LNER.
• Each request seeks data spanning multiple cycles or years.
• All are concerned with understanding staff perspectives or
participation.
• Each request asks for a breakdown of information, whether by staff
category, regions, or depots.
• All state that the data will assist in understanding staff engagement
or perspectives and argue that this is in the public interest.

Given these overlapping themes, we have decided to consolidate our
response into a single comprehensive reply. This will cover:

• The total number of staff currently employed at LNER.
• Participation in the LNER Plus Survey, LNER Pulse Survey, and 'The
Pulse' surveys or similar feedback mechanisms over the last five
cycles.
• A breakdown of survey participation by staff category, regions, and
depots.
• Aggregated scores and anonymised comments related to management
conduct from these surveys.

Please confirm that this summary accurately captures the information you
are seeking. Once we receive your confirmation, we will proceed with
gathering the relevant data for our consolidated response.
I would also ask you once you have confirmed this to withdraw the other
two requests, although if you don't I will simply submit the same response
to all three requests so it isn't the absolute end of the world. For
clarity, I have copied the other two requests into this email.
Kind regards
