Question 1 What computer software are you using for Highways Maintenance Works Ordering and Inspections,
how much are you paying per year, and when is the contract due to expire and what format will the
procurement process take? Who within the council is responsible for this contract? Our response: We do not
carry out highways maintenance, this would fall under Kent County Council who are responsible for the
districts highways, but we do carry out works on the highway which is managed using confirm on demand.
This is included within the Grounds Maintenance and Works contract held by Canterbury City Council. We do
not have the current annual cost to provide are as we have just upgraded the service to on demand, however
previous costs were circa £40K per annum. The Grounds Maintenance and Works contract expires in 2022. The
officer responsible for this contract is Tracy Flower, the Contracts Manager. Question 2 What computer
