Dear Mr Stark

Request for Information

Further to your information request to the Information Commissioner’s
Office (ICO) of 8 December 2017, we have dealt with this in accordance
with your ‘right to know’ under section 1(1) of the Freedom of Information
Act 2000 (FOIA), which entitles you to be provided with any information
‘held’ by a public authority, unless an appropriate exemption applies.

Your request

You asked for the following:

“Details of any consultation, predictions, statistics or forecasts with
regards to the expected increase in SAR applications to either the ICO
itself or any other organisation post 25th May 2018.

Details of any consultation, predictions, statistics or forecasts with
regards to the impact of the data subject's rights as stated in the
GDPR/DP Bill on the ICO itself or any other organisation post 25th May
2018.”

Our response

We understand you are asking for information relating to the work of the
ICO, and which has been generated or created by the ICO.

We can confirm that we do not hold any information regarding predictions,
statistics or forecasts by the ICO regarding the expected increase in SAR
applications or impact on data subject’s rights post 25 May 2018.

However, we do hold information relating to consultations we have carried
out including, amongst others, the GDPR consent guidance from March 2017.
We appreciate these are consultations about the content of our guidance,
not necessarily about the practical impact of GDPR, but it seems they
might be of interest to you.  Details of all our consultations, and those
we have responded to, are published on our website here:

[1]https://ico.org.uk/about-the-ico/ico-and...

We do not hold any other information within the scope of your request.

Review Procedure

and wish to request a review of our decision or make a complaint about how
your request has been handled you should reply directly to this email
(leaving the reference number in square brackets intact), write to the
Information Access Team at the address below or email
[2][ICO request email].

Your request for internal review should be submitted to us within 40
working days of receipt by you of this response.  Any such request
received after this time will only be considered at the discretion of the
Commissioner.

If having exhausted the review process you are not content that your
request or review has been dealt with correctly, you have a further right
of appeal to this office in our capacity as the statutory complaint
handler under the legislation.  To make such an application, please write
to our Customer Contact Team at the address given or visit our website if
