Information Request regarding Council Vehicle Fleet

Dear North Devon Council,

I'd be grateful if you can provide me with the following information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

1. A list of vehicles owned or leased to the council. Please include; registration mark (or year made, if preferable), fleet number (if used), make & model and body type.

2. Identify which vehicles are owned and which are leased.

3. Name, position and email address of the staff responsible for these vehicles, together with the telephone number for the department (direct dial not expected given GDPR.)

4. The estimated amount of spend (£) on diesel/petrol per annum and the cost split between owned and leased vehicles.

I write in response to your request for information received 18 February 2020.

Section 1(1)(a) of the Act requires the Council to inform you whether it holds information of the description specified in your request. I confirm that the Council does hold this information. In discharge of its obligation under section 1(1)(b) I can provide you with the following information that the Council recently supplied under another FOI for the same/similar information:

Parking - Fuel spend for 2019 (All leased) - Cash Van = £3,609.49
CEO Vans = £3,904.26

Environmental Health - Community Protection - estimated annual spend is between £1,500 and £2,000 (owned vehicle)
Environmental Protection - 2018/19 spend -£3,281.59 two owned vehicles and one leased/hired). A breakdown of the spend against leased and owned are not held, however it is estimated that one third of the 2018/19 amount is for the leased/hired vehicle and two thirds of the spend for the owned vehicles.
