FreedomOfInformation, University of Dundee

Dear Mr Harker,

Thank you for your request for information from the University of Dundee. Colleagues confirm that the University deploys a range of options for the physical security of its facilities. Estates and Campus Services oversee those arrangements. Information for potential suppliers to the University (including contact information) is available from Procurement - https://www.dundee.ac.uk/procurement/.

Concerning your remaining questions, the University neither confirms nor denies it holds this information. Please treat this email as notice of that per S.18 of FoI(S)A. The University is satisfied that if this amount of detail concerning its physical security arrangements existed or was so held, it would be exempt from disclosure per S.30, S.35 and S.39 of FoI(S)A.

The University is satisfied that confirming whether or not such information exists or is so held is contrary to the public interest. The University asserts that there is a greater public interest in it maintaining the integrity of its physical security arrangements than in the interests of any person receiving such detailed confirmation of whether or not the University deploys specific brands, arrangements or processes. Any answer in this domain has the potential compromise such security arrangements.

I trust that this is helpful.

Kind regards,

Alan
