Information regarding trial reintroduction of beavers into Scotland

The request was successful.

Dear Scottish Natural Heritage,

Can you please provide me with any information not currently in the public domain about the decision process, or any information which was provided to the Scottish Government in order for them to reach the decision to reject application for a trial reintroduction of beavers to Scotland (application dated January 2002, decision from the Scottish Government dated September 2005) as well as the same for the successful application (application dated December 2007, decision dated May 2008).

Thank you for your assistance.

Yours faithfully,

Claire Collier

Dear Ms Collier,

We have completed our response to your request. The information comes to over 43 megabytes of data. I cannot easily email this to you because SNH’s system will not let us email attachments of that size. I could have the information transferred to a CD and post it to you if you are willing to provide an address? If not please let me know if there is another way you’d like to receive this information and we can try to find a solution that suits.

Yours sincerely,

Good afternoon Rhoda,

I have a couple of options to suggest. If you haven't already tried this then you could zip the file (or zip and sent it in through in pieces?).

Alternatively could you use an online Web tool called Zendto? http://zend.to/

I happen to be working at, as well as studying with, The Open University who use this software to send large files of information all of the time. It is an open sourced, free piece of software, but it does look like you will need to download the software.

Otherwise I can't send you my address as when using this website it suggests that you shouldn't send personal details!

However you do have my personal email address from another FOI request (ref: A2235293) which I placed directly through your website, so you have my permission to take my email address from that record and then if you can email me directly then I can pass you my home address.

Yours sincerely,

Claire Collier

Dear Ms Collier,

Thank you for your information request. Following on from our correspondence on the best way to send our response to you, please find attached our response letter and one of the batches of information. The other batch of information is too big to send by email, so I will try to add it via the 'Respond to request option' for uploading large files.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about our response or any problems with any of the documents.

Yours sincerely,
