Information regarding technology uptake across the NHS
Dear NHS Digital,
I hope this email finds you well.
I am writing to you to state that I wish to make a freedom of information request regarding some data I believe to be held by NHS Digital. There are 4 separate areas in which I have interest, which I have listed below. If any of the data below is not in the NHS Digital remit, I would very much appreciate some guidance as to whom I should contact to find it. If you are only able to answer these questions in part, please do so. If you wish to treat this as 4 separate Freedom of Information Requests, please do so.
The areas I am interested in are:
1. Microsoft adoption from the UK national rollout with a specific focus on;
o Which trusts have adopted MS teams and how many employees in each of these organisations are active users on the platform?
o Usage rates from trusts that have adopted MS teams (hours daily per user) if available
o Which trusts have not yet adopted MS teams?
2. Number of trusts that are using Office365 with a specific focus on;
o Which trusts have adopted Office365 and how many users are on 365 in each trust?
o Which trusts are currently using Office 2010 and how many users are in each trust?
3. Trust adoption of Cloud with a specific focus on;
o Which trusts / Arm’s Length Bodies are currently using Azure?
o Which trusts / Arm’s Length Bodies are currently using AWS?
o Which trusts / Arm’s Length Bodies are currently using a different cloud solution and what the name of that solution is?
o Which trusts / Arm’s Length Bodies rely on a an on-premises storage solution?
o Which trusts / Arm’s Length Bodies are currently using a hybrid storage solution?
4. Trust & ALB adoption of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) with a specific focus on
o Which trusts / Arm’s Length Bodies have already incorporated RPA?
o Which trusts / Arm’s Length Bodies are currently using Automation Anywhere / UI Path / Blue Prism / any other vendor?
o What central funding for RPA projects have been allocated or are planned?
Many thanks for all your help on this, it is very much appreciated.

Regulations 2004. If it appears likely that your request will cost more,
then NHS Digital is able to refuse to supply the information. As per our
obligations under Section 16 of the FOI Act, every effort will be made to
provide you with details of how you may be able to reframe your request in
order for us to complete the required work within the (£450 / 18 person
