Dear Thanet District Council,
There were previously two grant documents relating to grants to Dreamland and/or its scenic railway. They were for £60,000 at
http://democracy.thanet.gov.uk/ieDecisio...
and for £196,000 at
http://democracy.thanet.gov.uk/ieDecisio... .
Lucy Perry, Casework Officer for the South East at the Heritage Lottery Fund, emailed Larissa Reed, Director of Community Services at Thanet Council, on 30th April 2015 asking that these grant documents be removed from the website, and they were removed by the 3rd of May 2015. This was apparently on the basis that the documents incorrectly claimed that the Heritage Lottery Fund had contributed to Thanet Council's grants to Sands Heritage.
Please provide these two documents.
Yours faithfully,
Doug Paulley
Dear Heritage Lottery Fund,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Heritage Lottery Fund's handling of my FOI request 'Information regarding Dreamland, Margate'. I believe the public interest of an £18.5m publicly funded project outweighs the arguments for the the majority of exemptions and redactions that have been applied to this request.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/i...
Yours faithfully,
Louise Oldfield
Dear Louise Oldfield

It might be disconcerting to see the Microsoft office tags at the top of the messages but the message content is present within; and the attached documents are present as separate attachments.
The unusual formatting appears to be due to the HLF attaching email messages, which themselves contain email messages; and due to the fact these messages were presumably marked up for styling with some Microsoft software.
The requestor has been provided with copy of the message which they might be able to "import" into email software such as outlook or Mac Mail to give an alternative view of the material released.
Email addresses are automatically redacted from our system; the email address the HLF are corresponding from is generally foi at hlf.org.uk though the 15th July message was from David Maynard davidm at hlf.org.uk

I see from
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/2...
Thanet council have removed what looks like two decision notices from their website following a request from the Heritage Lottery Fund- that looks to me like something it might be worth following up; perhaps with a request for the material which was present at:
http://democracy.thanet.gov.uk/ieDecisio...
and
http://democracy.thanet.gov.uk/ieDecisio...
