Information re NRM
Dear Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner,
Please address the following in relation to modern-day slavery:
Please explain the assessment process of the referrals within the Modern Slavery Unit based with the National Crime Agency and what qualifications are held by the staff within the unit to be able to decide on the referrals received.
How is the MS1 (Modern Slavery 1) data used and why isn't this data included in the NRM statistics?
What is the impact of being part of the NRM whilst applying for asylum status and being refused stay in the UK?
What is the process for the completion of the Risk Assessments carried out by Home Office when deciding to return victims back to their home countries?
Financial incentives for Voluntary Returns - how many victims have been supported with this options and when is it offered to the victim?
Yours faithfully,
Mr MdR
