Information on traders leaving Leeds Kirkgate Market

The request was successful.

Dear Leeds City Council,

Please treat each of the following as a separate Freedom of Information request.

How many traders have left Leeds Kirkgate indoor market between September 30th 2009 and today, September 28th, 2010. Could you break this down into the different areas of the market where they left a stall i.e. 1904, 1875, 1976, 1981, Butchers Row, Game Row and George Street.

How long had each of the traders who left during this year previously been trading not just on the stall they left but in all areas of Leeds Kirkgate Market.

Could you tell us how many occupied stalls and how many vacant units there were at the end of this financial year.

Could you provide us with detailed weekly footfall figures between January 2006 up to the most recent figures which have been produced.

Yours faithfully,

Megan Waugh

Dear Brook, Richard,

Thank you for this response to my request. For the most part it answers to my questions. I would like to ask for further clarification regarding the length of time traders had been working in the market before they left. This section is a little confusing as the same time frames are not used when looking at the different sections of the market. Given the fact that we are only looking at 20 traders, please could you state exactly how many years each trader had worked in the market rather than trying to group them. Thank you.

Megan
