1. How many familys (mother and baby or mother, father and baby referal for placements?

2. How many where placed?

3. How many of the placements were made within the local authority?

4. How many were placed outside of London?

5. Please provide a list of where the placements were made outside your local authority

6. What was the average length of these placements?

7. What was the average weekly cost of these placements?

8. Does your authority have a preferred placement listing from where you source these placements?

9. Is there a requirement for centres within the local authority?

Subject: FOI - Information on the demand for Residential Family Assessment
Centres in the last 12 months

Your request is being considered and you will receive a response within
the statutory timescale of 20 working days, subject to the application of
any exemptions. Where consideration is being given to exemptions the 20
working day timescale may be extended to a period considered reasonable
depending on the nature and circumstances of your request. In such cases
you will be notified and, where possible, a revised time-scale will be
indicated. In all cases we shall attempt to deal with your request at the
earliest opportunity.

Freedom of Information Request

Your request has been considered under the provisions of the Freedom of
Information Act. Please accept our apologies for the delay in responding
to you. Specifically, you have requested the following information:

Please could you provide me with a breakdown of the last 12-months period,
for services rendered for Residential Family Assessment Centers:

1. How many familys (mother and baby or mother, father and baby referal
for placements?

Currently we do not have any live referrals for mother & baby or father &
baby units.

2. How many where placed?

(21) R3 - Family centre or mother and baby unit.

3. How many of the placements were made within the local authority?

0.

4. How many were placed outside of London?

21.

5. Please provide a list of where the placements were made outside your
local authority

The Council can confirm it does hold this information, however, the
Council considers that individuals could potentially be identified from
the very low numbers across the different local authorities (less than 5)
and that such identification would constitute a breach of one of the
principles set out in the Data Protection Act 1998 and is therefore exempt
under section 40(2) of the Act.

6. What was the average length of these placements?

Average 93.95 days in placement.

7. What was the average weekly cost of these placements?

£4000 pw

8. Does your authority have a preferred placement listing from where you
source these placements?

We do not have preferred/contracted providers for mother and baby units.

9. Is there a requirement for centres within the local authority?

Yes.
