Information on the cost of a proposed scheme, environmental assessment, and effects of existing scheme.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Tower Hamlets Borough Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Tower Hamlets Borough Council,

I recently received from Tower Hamlets Council: “Isle of Dogs, Have Your Say on Traffic Calming Measures” www.pclconsult.co.uk /towerhamlets.

One important piece of information that residents need, before they have their say, is the cost of the scheme. The document does not include this information.

How much will this scheme cost?

Has the council conducted or commissioned an environmental impact assessment of this scheme?

What has been the effect of the existing 20mph limit in the borough road: deaths, injuries and accidents since its imposition?

I understand that this document has not been delivered to all residents.
What measures is the council taking to remedy this?

Yours faithfully,

Charles Efford

London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Tower Hamlets Borough Council
