Dear infocompliance, Resource,

I would please like the information to be put in the form of a continuous table in an Excel spreadsheet with each individual question (some numbered points have 2-3 questions in them) used as a header in the table. Therefore, the table should have approximately 16-20 columns of information.

Yours sincerely,

Miss C Ogbuju

Dear Miss Ogbuju,

Please find attached a template table we have created in order to help respond to your request, this is not a finalised table and headings and information may change upon how the information is stored and presented within the teams that hold the information requested.

Can you confirm this is the format you are seeking?

Please note we have separated the "courses" section out so that the table is easier to read.

Please let us know your thoughts.

Kind Regards

Dear infocompliance, Resource,

The template table is more than I imagined and I am very grateful for it as it is very clear and easy to read.
However, a slight concern I have is that you have not included a column for what the average GCSE grade achieved was. In addition, I understand that the headings are not final but, you have repeated the BEM applicant predicated A-level grades twice when one of the headings should be "actual" A-level grades achieved instead.

Yours sincerely,
Miss C Ogbuju

Dear Miss Ogbuju,

Thank you for confirming this and also pointing out the errors made.

We will work with the departments in question to complete this FOI request for you.

Dear infocompliance, Resource,

Thank you so much for the table and asking for my clarification.

It has also been brought up to my attention that I have not said that the information should be about undergraduate, UK-domiciled Black and Minority Ethnics (BEMs) only. Therefore, I am clarifying that the information for the questions I previously sent to you should be about undergraduate, UK-domiciled BEMs only.

Yours sincerely,

Miss C Ogbuju

Dear Cynthia,

We have sent your request onto the departments responsible for this
information and they have asked if you could possibly clarify the
following points for us:

·         For Question 1) it has been asked if you mean of all offer
holders, what percentage are from black and ethnic minorities, or of all
black and ethnic minority applicants, what percentage get an offer?

·         For Question 4) is our assumption correct that you are looking
for how many instances of B grade predictions, A grade predictions, A*
grades predictions etc

·         For Question 5) is our assumption correct that you are looking
for how many instances of B grade actually achieved grades, A grade
actually achieved grades, A* grades actually achieved grades etc

·         For Question 6), 7), 8) and 9) are you seeking this information
for all applicants, just those who got an offer, just those the University
accepted or just those who enrolled?

·         For Question 10) where you are seeking the overall numbers and
percentages of BEMs that applied to the university, what are you seeking
the percentage of? The percent in comparison to the other ethnic
categories listed at the University? If not, can you clarify what you are
seeking?

Apologies for having to come back to you again, there are a number of
people we have had to send this to after creating the table in our
previous communication and they have bought up a number of different
questions to those we would have thought of.

Also, thank you for your previous email, we have noted this and also sent
this onto the relevant departments.

Kind Regards
