Information on selective licensing scheme

The request was successful.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing with a Freedom of Information request about your selective licensing scheme for landlords.

Please could you supply me with as much as possible of the following information:

1. The number of landlords and private rented properties that were registered with the selective licensing scheme
2. Any estimate you hold of the number of private rented properties within the selective licensing area that remained unlicensed, during the operation of the scheme
3. Whether the scheme was self-funding, or supported by other council or central government revenue; and if the latter, an estimate of how much revenue was supplied to the scheme
4. During the operation of the scheme, the number of landlords with properties within the selective licensing area who were prosecuted for either a) failing to obtain a license under the selective licensing scheme or b) other offences under the Housing Act 2004
5. Any information available on how the fees for the scheme were calculated
6. And finally, please supply any evaluation you have carried out on the impact of the scheme.

Thanks very much for your help, and please do not hesitate to contact me if I can clarify any of these requests.

Yours faithfully,

Anna Smith

Dear Ms Greathead,

Thank you very much for your response. Please could I clarify two points?

1. In question 1, is 8133 the number of properties or landlords? And if properties, please could you supply the number of landlords (and vice versa)?

2. In question 5, I do not have access to the link https://hastingsintranet.moderngov.co.uk... - I believe this is not visible outside the Council's offices. Would you be able to attach a copy of the document to your reply?

Thanks very much for your help, it's much appreciated.

Yours sincerely,

Anna Smith
