Dear Commonwealth War Graves Commission,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Commonwealth War Graves Commission's handling of my FOI request 'Information on Plymouth Naval Memorial on Panel 65, Column 2, Hurt, A.B. Eric, D/SSX 26752'.
There has been a lack of response to my previous information request, due May 11 2023. As an organization committed to providing efficient and transparent communication, I kindly ask that you review the delay in responding to my inquiry and assess whether the requested information should have been released.
In my initial request, I sought the following information:
1. The source of the date of death of 26th June 1940 for Hurt, A.B. Eric, D/SSX 26752, as inscribed on Panel 65, Column 2 of the Plymouth Naval Memorial. I requested details and any correspondence related to this information.
2. The date when the inscription of 26th June 1940 was agreed upon and added to the memorial.
3. Information held by the CWGC on the change of date of death of Hurt, A.B. Eric, D/SSX 26752, from 20th June 1940 to 26th June 1942.
While I understand that the Commonwealth War Graves Commission is not subject to the Freedom of Information Act, I believe it is crucial for a publicly funded organization to uphold principles of openness and accountability. Given the considerable delay and the absence of any response to my information request, I kindly request that you conduct an internal review to assess whether the requested information should have been released.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to a prompt resolution.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/i...
Yours faithfully,
Louise Oldfield

I have mistakenly stated 26 June 1940 when I should have stated 26 June 1942. Sorry for the mistake. Hopefully, this is clear. Thank you.
