Information on how consultation documents are shared bewteen Trust and SCAS

Mr A Hill made this Freedom of Information request to Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust,

According to RBWM (Windsor and Maidenhead) council, "the NHS" (among others) was consulted on changes to the "Broadway" road on 17 Jan 2019.

https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/s...

I take the NHS statutory consultee to be the "Chief Officer" of your Trust for the purposes of section 6 of the Traffic Order regs:
http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1996/...

However, when I separately contacted South Central Ambulance Service, they stated in
FOI1920-023/G that "...after an extensive search and consultation/liaison with senior operational colleagues, we are not aware of having been consulted formally and so have not provided any response to RBWM Council."

1. Can you confirm that the "Chief Officer" of the Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust did receive the "Broadway" road consultation documents on Jan 17th.
2. Assuming that you were sent the consultation documents, can you explain why the Chief Officer of the Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust did not pass the "Broadway" road consultation documents onto South Central Ambulance service (SCAS) for their input given that it concerns the speed of access to the road network?

RBWM state (link above) that "Consultation on the A308 / King Street / Queen Street junction will start this Thursday." I take this to mean Thursday 20th June. First responders have expressed concern on social media that this change may slow down access to the Boyn Hill area of Maidenhead.

3. Can you confirm that the Chief Officer of the trust did receive the RBWM consultation documents on/around June 20th?
4. Can you provide a copy of the documents sent to you for this new consultation.
5. Have these documents been forwarded to SCAS for their input on the safety implications?

Yours faithfully,

Mr A Hill
