Information on 2003 meeting on the Gypsy community
Dear Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland,
I wish to request any documents (e.g. minutes, reports) produced or presented at the ACPOS Gypsy Traveller conference (mentioned on page 38 of the 2003/04 Annual report, here - http://tulliallan.police.uk/downloads/pd...)
In particular, I would like to receive copies of the NCIS report on criminality in the Gypsy/Traveller community which was presented at the conference.
Yours faithfully,
Willard Foxton

Dear Mr Foxton
I am writing in response to your request for information which has been
passed to me as ACPOS FOI Co-ordinator.
As you may know, ACPOS is not a scheduled Scottish public authority for
the purposes of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, however
the Association aims to act within the spirit of the legislation and
respond to reasonable requests for information when it is available and
not costly to compile.
Your request was as follows:
I wish to request any documents (e.g. minutes, reports) produced or
presented at the ACPOS Gypsy Traveller conference (mentioned on
page 38 of the 2003/04 Annual report, here -

In particular, I would like to receive copies of the NCIS report on
criminality in the Gypsy/Traveller community which was presented at
the conference.
ACPOS does not hold any papers in relation to the meeting mentioned in the
report. The Police College provides accommodation for a variety of
events, and those events listed in the 2003/2004 report may have been
regular meetings or one-off events.
If NCIS produced a report as described, it may be held by that
organisation.
Thank you for your interest in ACPOS.
Yours sincerely
David Steel
