I write in response to your email of 4 February 2021 in which you
submitted an information request to the Service. Your request has been
dealt with in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA)
and our response is below.

 

Please note that, whilst Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service has a
responsibility to provide the requested information within 20 working
days, with the current Covid-19 pandemic, we have been unable to complete
our response to some questions but work is continuing and we aim to
respond in full on or before 31 March 2021. As an emergency service, our
first priority is the public and to maintain our service to them, as such
our workforce must be prepared to be as flexible as possible meaning some
areas may be diverted away from certain tasks to temporarily work outside
normal roles and responsibilities during this extraordinary period.

Please note that a fee may be payable and, if that is the case, we will
let you know the likely charges before proceeding. 

Please be assured we are doing all we can to process your request and will
endeavour to provide the information as soon as possible.

1.     Any application you made in 2019 or 2020 to be a “Stonewall
Diversity Champion” or to be included on Stonewall’s “Workplace Equality
Index,” including any attachments or appendices to those applications.

We have paid for Membership of Stonewall’s Diversity Champions programme
as detailed in our response to question 5 below. We submitted a Workplace
Equality Index application in September 2019 for 2020. No application has
been made in 2020 for 2021. You have made a request for copy applications
made in 2019 or 2020 by Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service. The application
in 2019 includes names and contact details of individuals. Please note
that section 40(3) of FOIA provides an exemption from the right to
information if disclosure of the information to a member of the public
would contravene any of the data protection principles. If this is
necessary then I will send you a Refusal Notice on this but we are doing
all we can to process your request by redacting personal details and we
will endeavour to provide the information as soon as possible.

 

2.     Any feedback you received in 2019 or 2020 from Stonewall in
relation to either application or programme.

You have made a request for copy feedback held by or originated by
Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service. We are not yet in a position to respond
to this request but we are doing all we can to process your request and
will endeavour to provide the information as soon as possible.

 

3.     Any other communication you have received from Stonewall in 2019 or
2020 unless privileged or otherwise exempt from disclosure (but if you

respond to this request but we are doing all we can to process your

5.     Details of the total amount of money you paid to Stonewall (i) in
2019; (ii) in 2020, whether or not as payment for goods or services.

We have made no payments for goods or services. The total amount of money
paid to Stonewall in 2019 and 2020 was:

(i)               2019 Stonewall Membership £2,500 + VAT.

(ii)             2020 Stonewall Membership £2,500 + VAT.

 

6.     Whether you intend to continue your membership of any Stonewall
scheme in the future, and if so which.

We are not continuing membership of any Stonewall scheme or programme at
this time.

 

We will contact you again on or before 31 March 2021 with regard to the
outstanding requests.

 

Your right to request an internal review of our decision

If you are not satisfied with this response or you wish to complain about
any aspect of the handling of your request, then you should contact our
Data protection Officer (details below).  If informal resolution is not
possible and you are still dissatisfied then you may apply for an
independent internal review by our Chief Fire Officer/Chief Executive. 
Please note that any request for an internal review must be made within 40
working days of the date on which the attempt to reach informal resolution
has come to an end.
