Dear U Winfield,

Thank you for your request for information which was received on 8th
February. Your request is being considered under the terms of the Freedom
of Information Act 2000.

The Act requires that a response must be given promptly, and in any event
within 20 working days. We will therefore reply at the latest by 8th
March.

Please note that due to members of the Information Rights team being
absent due to Covid-19, it is taking longer to process information
requests at this time and regrettably we may be unable to respond to your
request by the due date identified above. We are progressing information
requests as quickly as possible in these circumstances and apologise for
any delay.

Please remember to quote the reference number above in any future
communications.

Yours sincerely,

Jackie Lawrence

Dear U Winfield,

Further to your email below, we can confirm that the Information Rights
team is still impacted by Covid-19 which is resulting in short delays on
some requests.

We are currently working through the documentation provided by the
business, however given the content of the material and to give your
request the attention it deserves, we are considering whether we are
obliged to consult with third parties where we may rely on an exemption,
but are required under Freedom of Information Act to apply the public
interest test.  If we were to do so, we would look at extending the
timeline for responding by a further 20 working days.

Please note, we will not be sharing with Stonewall who has made the
request.

Kind regards

Dear Information Rights Team,

You have had over 2 months (since 8th February) to consider my questions, and now you want another 40 days - 8 weeks?

This seems ridiculously long. Please, please just do your best: answer the questions in a straightforward simple way with information that you do possess (with redactions to conceal the identity of your officers, etc.). It isn't that difficult.
I look forward to hearing from you in the next WEEK, please.

Yours sincerely,

U. Winfield

Dear U. Winfield,

Thank you for your email dated 15 April 2021.   As noted in my letter
dated 6 April 2021, our view is that your request falls within the scope
of the qualified exemption under section 43 of the Freedom of Information
Act 2000 (“FOIA”). Accordingly, Post Office Limited (“Post Office”) needs
the additional time in order to properly consider the public interest
test. Post Office is permitted to extend the timing for its response
“until such time as is reasonable in the circumstances” in accordance with
section 10 FOIA. When considering the length of extension required, Post
Office took into account the volume and sensitivity of the information
requested, as well as the need to consult a third party.

We are progressing your request as expeditiously as possible and will
respond to you by 4 June 2021.

Yours sincerely,
